Nutrition and food safety
Ending malnutrition and food insecurity, especially among the rural and urban poor, is a core aim ambition for REBDA. Working with other partners, REBDA designs interventions and programs aimed at changing nutrition behaviors and increasing production and utilization of nutrient rich/dense and safe food and improving nutrition outcomes. Among the key interventions delivered include community sensitization and awareness raising, promotion of good nutrition practices (breastfeeding, food preparation etc), training in nutrition sensitive agriculture including kitchen gardening and production of MNR crops and provision of community based nutrition services including family planning, nutrition assessment and food supplementation).
