We source funding/donations from organisations interested in boosting the livelihoods of our target beneficiaries including Multilateral aid agencies, Foundations, International NGOs etc

Organizational Overview

REBDA undertakes a number of interventions aimed at enhancing the capacity of entrepreneurial women and men, especially those operating in the sectors of agribusiness, trade and commerce, manufacturing, energy and services, to start, operate and expand/scale profitable enterprises. The interventions include skills training, business incubation services, technical assistance (business plan preparation, feasibility studies and proposals), coaching/mentoring, lobbying/advocacy and business linkages.

Livelihood improvement

Our organizational development packages are aimed at strengthening the governance skills for leaders of cooperatives and other organisations

Nutrition and food safety

Ending malnutrition and food insecurity, especially among the rural and urban poor, is a core aim ambition for REBDA.

Environment conservation/climate change proofing

Climate change proofing and conservation/preservation of mother earth is one of the key issues at the heart of the REBDA’s programing

This involves helping refugees rebuild their lives and achieve self-reliance. These initiatives focus on providing refugees with the skills, resources, and opportunities needed to integrate into their host communities and contribute economically.

Over the last 8 years, Rebda has provided technical, business, organizational development and financial literacy skills training and technical assistance to over 1,241 farmer groups (with a total membership of over 24,420 farmers), 800 VSLAs, 93 producer cooperatives, 202 SACCOs, 131 companies, 19 agribusiness clusters, 28 farmers/traders’ associations and 10,619 youth.
